  • Overview

    This position will be planning and implementing business strategies to increase existing business and capture new opportunities by targeting (U)HNWI and HNWI through nurturing key relationships and extending personalized service. The role requires the candidate to be able to represent the brands to consumers through ambassadorial duties, event hosting and personal introduction.

    The candidate will make the brands more visible, talked about and requested as must-have luxury items among the target audience and their peers. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales by increasing the visibility of and desire for the brands with Clients who have a flair for (conspicuous) consumption, connection and/or connoisseurship, including financiers, entrepreneurs, fashionistas, socialites, athletes, musicians, realtors.

    Responsibilities

    • To develop and execute a sales strategy specific to UHNWI and VIP engagement in order to achieve the business growth
    • To identify new sales opportunities for new business development and recommend actions for brand initiatives
    • To build strong customer relationships with premium partners for new recruitment of UHNWI and private clients
    • Achieve budgeted sales turnover, profitability ratios, brand awareness KPIs and other brand's health indicators.
    • To propose brand solutions in line with pricing, visibility and resource parameters
    • Be able to represent the portfolio of brands through event hosting and personal introduction, delivering a credible and confident brand message
    • Use networking ability and connections to infiltrate target Client groups to make brands an essential ritual of a luxury lifestyle. For example: for the finance industry, make brands the de-facto deal closer celebration; for fashion and entertainment, make brands the de-facto toast after a successful event; for all entertainers/socialites make brands the drink of choice for reconnecting with friends and for toasting a new relationship, etc.
    • To identify, network with and leverage current brand aficionados in the target Client groups. This networking should take place as sampling and socializing via private clubs, charity events, and/or on-trade accounts that service the targets

    Event Management
    Create and execute events that will showcase the brands for the target Clients. Events will include intimate dinners or cocktail parties that feature brand moments and are arranged through Clients. The events may also include activities where brands can be a part of a cross promotional/cross-marketing opportunity, arranged through business/corporate contacts. At such events, brands must have primary sponsorship with clear visibility and little competition - brands must be an integral, seamless part of the event. These types of events may include private club events, charity events, luxury jet and home time share events, new boutique or restaurant openings, and/ or private sales where brands are an integral part of the menu. At the events, the candidate must ensure proper brand display and intimate sampling. Events may also include travels to brand homes abroad.

     

    TECHNICAL AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS

    • Knowledge of wines & spirits is a must
    • Strong commercial sense
    • Good planning, implementation, presentation and negotiation skills 
    • Entrepreneurial - able to seize and exploit commercial opportunities
    • Creative and lateral thinking, self-starter and independent
    • Good team player with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team; networking, influencing, and communication skills 
    • Monitor and formally report on competitors' activities, key tools and success stories
    • Submit all reports, requests and correspondence within agreed time frame
    • Ensure relevant customer/Client information is fed back to the line manager and Brand/Area Manager
    • Attend and contribute to Brand and Marketing meetings as required
    • Be responsible for company equipment and tools in their possession
    • Work within established standards of performance and budgetary guidelines
    • Educate one self and attend necessary training to keep abreast of emerging trends
    • Work closely with the International Brand Ambassadors and other members of the Brand team to ensure that the Brand objectives are realized
    • Maintain data collection / CRM program
    • Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned

    • Highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and team oriented
    • Outgoing, comfortable in bar/nightclub/restaurant/private members club drinking environment
    • Has an appreciation for quality, luxury and brands
    • Customer focused and result oriented 

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field ideal
    • Language: Fluent in English, French (preferred), German (preferred)
    • Professional experience & know how: Extensive sales experience / client management in related fields
    •         Prior experience in one of the following sectors: Wines & Spirits / Hospitality / F&B / Luxury Goods
