  • Overview

    The role of the Business Development Executives (BDEs) is to maximise availability, visibility and ROS to targeted On Trade customers for Pernod Ricard strategic brands within a designated post code territory.


    The BDE roles are home based, working within a defined geographical area, therefore it is required that he/she lives within this territory to understand the nature and culture within.  Although opportunities exist in all segments of the On-trade, the calls will be predominantly from the Premium sector in alignment with our brand portfolio. On average a BDE makes 8 planned calls per day and has an account base of approximately 185 outlets.

     

    The BDE will work within one of 3 regional teams, each comprising of 7-8 BDE’s reporting to a Field Sales Manager.

     

    Responsibilities

    The UK on trade wines and spirits market is a well developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to well developed on trade segments. The on trade is a complex channel with a number of sub channels (National wholesaler, multiple pub operators, independent bars, regional brewers).  The channel is an important contributor to the profit of PR in the UK but it also plays a vital role in building the equity of our brands with consumers.

     

    As a field based representative of the Company, it is expected that you operate in a transparent manner and demonstrate integrity in all interactions.

     

    Key Deliverables:

    • Gain new listings and increase distribution
    • Gain house pour status in major categories (vodka, gin, rum, champagne)
    • Maximise visibility and increase brand awareness
    • Conduct staff education and ensure recommendation
    • Evaluate activity and determine effectiveness and measurement of objectives (SMART)
    • Any other reasonable additional duties that may be required from time to time
